Sophie Allport do not recommend their collars and leads to be continually submerged in water. Salt water will cause accelerated rusting of the metal components. If the collar and / or lead is exposed to sea water, river water or muddy puddles, we recommend the items are rinsed off with tap water and left to dry naturally to reduce the risk of rusting and damage.
