In 2020 Ashleigh and Burwood fragrance lamps were tested for their ability to reduce airborne coronavirus. The results indicated by up to 97% of airborne coronavirus was removed with the use of these lamps.

We have a selection of lamp fragrances with are intended to be used only with Ashleigh and Burwood fragrance lamps. We also stock wick/stone replacements, wicks/stones should be replaced after around 250 uses to keep your lamp working at its optimum level.

How to Use a Fragrance Lamp


Place your Fragrance Lamp on a spill-resistant and heat-resistant surface. Remove the snuffer cap and stone/wick assembly. Fill your Lamp 2/3rd full with a funnel using one of your favourite Ashleigh & Burwood's Lamp Fragrances. Remember to keep the Lamp upright when filled to prevent spillage.
Place the stone/wick back into the lamp. Cover the stone with the snuffer cap and allow the wick to soak for 20-30 minutes. If the stone is not covered the Lamp Fragrance will evaporate.
Remove the suffer cap and make sure the stone is sat firmly in the neck of the lamp and light it. Never leave a burning Lamp unattended.
After 2-3 minutes blow out the flame and place the decorative crown over the hot stone. Never cover the open flame with the crown or snuffer cap.
Enjoy the purifying benefits of your Fragrance Lamp for up to 30 minutes. The stone will remain hot (without a flame) as it continues to draw fragrance through the wick.
After 30 minutes, remove the decorative crown (Caution - it may be hot) and cover the hot stone with the snuffer cap. This will stop the catalytic process and prevent the Lamp Fragrance from evaporating when the Lamp is not in use.


Ashleigh and Burwood recommend allowing the wick to air-dry before placing it into another fragrance and not to burn the Lamp until it runs dry as this can damage the wick.
