This sterling silver locket necklace by Clogau opens up to reveal two heart-shaped spaces where you can keep mementos or photos of loved ones that you want to keep close to your heart at all times.
The silver heart-shaped locket is inscribed with the word 'Cariad' across the front. Cariad is a Welsh word meaning love, beloved, or sweetheart. There is no Welsh work for boyfriend, girlfriend, or partner, they are all referred to as your ‘Cariad’, it can also be used as a term of endearment for your children. This special word has no direct English translation making it even more special.
Above the locket hangs a delicate rose gold heart made from rare Welsh Gold. Welsh Gold is some of the rarest gold in the world.
The locket hangs freely from a silver 22' (55.8cm) chain and the heart locket measures 2cm high and just over 2cm wide, which can hold a memento measuring 16mm by 16mm.
